Vacancy

Our job vacancies are exclusively aimed at candidates who wish to join us directly, without involvement from staffing agencies or recruiters. We do not consider freelancers; acquisition based on these advertisements is not appreciated.

As Project Manager J/M at TILLEN, you are responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring that every phase runs smoothly from start to finish. You manage the project budget and planning, monitor appointments, and make sure all tasks are followed up on time. You are always alert to scope changes and align closely with client expectations, keeping them informed about project progress and addressing any adjustments needed. Additionally, you collaborate with production companies for outsourced work and coordinate both internal and external acceptance tests, ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest standards.

In this role, you maintain project control by checking progress with team members, and making sure they have all the necessary details to complete their tasks efficiently. You track budget alignment with the project’s completion percentage and allocate hours in resource calendars to optimize team capacity. Client communication is key — you organize and lead progress meetings, kick-off calls, and ad-hoc discussions to manage expectations and provide clear updates. Occasionally, you will visit fabricators’ premises with the Lead Engineer or Service Manager for intermediate quality checks during the fabrication phase.

You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team of Project Owners and Team Leads. Daily stand-up meetings provide space to address project highlights, while weekly planning meetings ensure resources are effectively allocated and any scheduling conflicts are resolved. The team’s shared goal is to maintain a high standard of project execution and foster an environment where communication and efficiency drive successful outcomes.

If you enjoy keeping projects on track and thrive on coordinating teams, managing client expectations, and ensuring every detail aligns perfectly, then this is the job for you.

Project Manager J/M

On an enjoyable workday, you feel the positive energy of the team as everyone wraps up the week and prepares for the next one. You join productive meetings, enjoy a relaxed and social lunch with TosTillen, and end the day with a clear plan for the week ahead.

On a less enjoyable workday, your schedule is filled with         back-to-back meetings, requiring you to switch between tasks frequently. The day goes by quickly, but there’s less time to focus on your own work.

Firsthand experience

During the project, your team is working on designing a structure after the client has approved the preliminary concept. Suddenly, the client requests modifications to make the structure heavier and taller due to the specific location where it will be used. What do you do?

First, you acknowledge the client's request and inform them that you will assess it internally before providing a final answer. Scope changes are common, but it’s crucial to determine whether the request falls within the existing scope or qualifies as additional work. If it requires extra work, you collaborate with the Sales team to prepare a revised quote. Once the commercial proposal is ready, you present it to the client for approval. Instead of immediately agreeing to changes, you ensure that additional time and resources are accounted for, preventing the project from exceeding its budget.

Growth

There's no rigid format for your career path. Depending on your ambitions, experience, and needs within the company, you can develop in various directions. TILLEN is growing rapidly, and we want our colleagues to benefit from this growth and grow with us. We allocate budget and time to ensure everyone thrives in a challenging environment where they can excel.

Working at TILLEN

Our vacancies are exclusively aimed at candidates who wish to join us directly without involvement from staffing agencies and recruiters. We do not engage with freelancers either; acquisition based on these advertisements is not appreciated.

TILLEN was founded in 2007 by three enthusiastic engineers with a passion for heavy constructions and lifting equipment. The company designs and delivers customized solutions for the safe and efficient handling of heavy constructions, such as those for wind farms, contributing to the energy transition. The team comprises experts in mechanical engineering and structural engineering. By pooling these skills, tailored solutions are created, manufactured, and implemented for handling heavy and unwieldy loads. The expertise extends beyond heavy lifting, serving various markets. Designs range from specialized equipment to supporting structures and other handling devices with diverse applications. In addition to engineering, an increasing part of our activities involves manufacturing our designs, ultimately delivering complete solutions to customers. This process includes visiting the manufacturing workshop, devising and conducting tests, and participating in the final acceptance by the customer.

In addition to vacancies for Sales Engineers, Project Managers, and Structural Engineers, we are always looking for CAD Engineers, Design Engineers, and Project Managers. Please send your application to Jeroen.van.hees@tillen.com
