Vacancy
As a Market Risk Manager, you are responsible for managing Mizuho's market risk exposures, ensuring the bank's market and counterparty credit risk exposure aligns with its appetite. With your expertise in financial and risk analysis, you'll closely collaborate with various bank departments and have a pivotal role in regulatory examinations and interactions.
Central to your position is crafting and overseeing the Counterparty Credit Risk policy. Improving internal reporting for CCR management and ensuring our bank's compliance, especially in the realms of Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB) and Counterparty Credit Risk (CRR), are crucial tasks. Regularly monitoring market risks, assessing portfolios, and testing market risk models also fall within your domain. Furthermore, your insights will shape the ICAAP processes and you will oversee metrics like EVE and NII for accuracy and reasonableness.
You will keep a pulse on how global economic changes might impact the portfolio, spearhead in-depth risk analyses and recommend improvements to the risk processes. Collaborating closely, you will support various committees, ensuring Mizuho maintains a robust risk framework and aligns with evolving regulations.
You will join the Risk Management Department (RMD) and become an integral part of a team dedicated to Mizuho Bank Europe's (MBE) Risk Management objectives. While shaping MBE's risk framework, you'll play a role in advising and supporting the Management and Supervisory Boards on various risk topics, reinforcing your commitment to strong risk governance.
If you like to shape risk management strategies and find it challenging to navigate complex regulatory landscapes, then this is the job for you.
Working week
On an enjoyable day, you collaborate closely with various departments, seeing the direct impact of your risk strategies and getting positive feedback from committees on your insights.
On a less enjoyable day, you navigate challenging regulatory landscapes and confront unexpected shifts in market dynamics that strain the bank's risk framework.
