Vacancy
As a Jr. Corporate Banking Operational Auditor at Mizuho, you are responsible for supporting the versatile Audit Team in Amsterdam. You assist in conducting operational audits across various departments, assessing compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness of internal controls. Additionally, you gather, analyze, and interpret data to identify potential risks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. You prepare clear audit documentation and participate in the development of audit plans and strategies. You work closely with Senior Auditors to communicate findings and recommendations to management, and you monitor the implementation of management actions by conducting follow-up assessments.
You will work in the Internal Audit department, which consists of the Head of Internal Audit, Senior IT Auditor and a Senior Internal Auditor. This team has a strong focus on evaluating and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of operations, risk management, and internal controls within our organization. This role offers you the opportunity to gain practical experience in various business processes within a Japanese bank and provides an excellent chance to start or advance your career in operational auditing.
If you enjoy analyzing processes, thinking critically, and working in an organized manner and you don’t mind working under pressure, then this is the job for you.
Working week
On an enjoyable workday, you start with coffee and a team meeting to discuss the day’s tasks. You visit client locations, engage in conversations, and receive valuable feedback from Senior Auditors, enhancing your development.
On a less enjoyable workday, you spend most of your time performing repetitive checks on large data sets in Excel. Unexpected tight deadlines require you to work longer hours, and micromanagement limits your autonomy.
