What is required?

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Human Resources is preferable
  • Experienced in working for corporate environments (preferably financials)
  • Basic level of employment law and CLA (Collective Labor Agreement)
  • Basic level on L&D and recruitment
  • Excellent command of the English and Dutch language, both verbally and in writing
  • Your are organized, structured and get things done
  • You follow the strategic direction of the company, and prioritize actions adding to the HR team’s success

Vacancy

As an HR Business Partner at Mizuho, you are entrusted with the responsibility of advising and steering Line Managers in your respective business lines. This comprehensive role includes daily HR tasks, HR reporting, coaching managers in their leadership style, resource planning, and fostering effective communication.

Your role will have you directly supporting six to eight Line Managers. Regular discussions with these key individuals will be part of your mandate, ensuring operations run smoothly. Integral to your role is the identification of potential HR-related risks and the formulation of appropriate action plans, thereby providing robust support to Line Managers in various scenarios. Furthermore, you will play a significant part in HR projects, supporting the HR Leadership and managing the HR calendar and activities included.

Supported by two HR Specialists, you will also be accountable for the smooth management and execution of HR operations. These include hiring, prepare documents for the onboarding, employee transitions, training, and reporting. While the recruitment process is primarily handled by external recruiters, your responsibility lies in coordinating the hiring process and ensuring overall efficient execution.

You will become part of the Amsterdam HR team, which comprises the CHRO, the Compensation & Benefits and the HRBP Director, the Sr. HRBP and two HR Specialists. This supportive and collaborative team operates within the same department, maintaining a close-knit approach to ensure the well-being and productivity of all staff members.

On an enjoyable day, you engage in productive discussions with your business lines, strategize solutions with the Head of HR and plan a leadership training.

On a less enjoyable day, you are tied up with reporting for the HQ, entering budget applications into the system, encouraging external recruiters to pick up the pace, and reminding managers of their HR-related administrative duties.

You translate these strategies into actionable steps, ensuring the Manager is supported throughout the process.
