Vacancy
As the Head of Compliance Department/Director at Mizuho, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing MBE's Compliance Framework, reporting directly into the Chief Risk & Financial Officer (CR&FO) and the Management Board member. In this role, you are expected to lead a team of compliance professionals, offering valuable guidance and support to ensure all compliance tasks are conducted effectively. This includes critical areas of compliance such as KYC/AML, SIRA, market risk, insider regulation, MIFID/EMIR, and the overall regulatory compliance framework.
In light of Mizuho in the EMEA region adapting its business model to a more integrated Corporate Investment Model, MBE will support the region in its effort to enhance and better streamline the compliance functions. You will be asked to support this transformative effort. In addition to compliance tasks, your role will involve managing MBE's regulatory obligations, ensuring that the bank takes necessary steps to mitigate regulatory compliance risks.
As part of the management responsibilities, you will be developing the departmental strategy, planning and setting targets while considering regulatory and operational timelines. You will also be responsible for preparing Management Information, including materials for presentations to the Supervisory Board and various MBE committees. Your role will further encompass managing departmental staff, handling HR matters, preparing budgets, addressing audit items, and participating in MBE committees.
The Compliance Department at Mizuho, which you will be heading, is an oversight department forming part of the second line of defence. The department is responsible for the overall Compliance Framework of MBE. As a leader, you will be joining a team that values activity, cooperation, and a positive attitude, making a significant contribution to Mizuho's commitment to regulatory compliance and integrity.
If you enjoy leading a dedicated team of professionals and find it challenging to maintain and enhance a robust Compliance Framework amidst changing regulations, then this is the right job for you.
