Vacancy
As a Controls Engineer at IMS you are responsible for designing, programming and installing systems that are used in the IMS machines.
You work together with the Mechanical Engineers to design the technical and functional elements, including the flowchart. You do this on the basis of the project requirements. After the concept design has been tested and the final design has been made, you start programming. You write all the software for various elements of the machine, including the PLC. You use the designed flow charts as a basis for your programming work. Finally, the test and review phase follows, always in cooperation with the other Engineers. If the machine works properly, it is installed at the customer's location. You are also closely involved in this. You usually work on one large project, sometimes in combination with several smaller projects.
You are part of a multidisciplinary team that includes a Mechanical Engineer, Lead Engineer and the System Integrators who will build the machine. You also work together with Hardware Engineers. A project can focus on internal developments as well as external customers.
Acquisition in response to this vacancy is not appreciated. We do not derive rights or obligations from profiles and cv's that are sent unsolicited. Therefore, we regard them as not being sent.
If you like programming PLCs, among other things, and you find it challenging to work in a multidisciplinary team where you have to make the importance of controls clear, then this is a job for you.
Working week
Dennis Meijerink
During an enjoyable working day, I review a concept design with colleagues. We discover a challenging problem, which I solve at the end of the day by modifying the software.
During a less enjoyable day, I am busy documenting. I have to clearly argue why I made certain choices and put all the specifications on paper in detail.
