As Manager Solutions UK at Hendrik Veder Group, you are responsible for establishing and overseeing the Onshore/Offshore Solutions department. This includes managing commercial and operational aspects while providing spooling and reeving services for cranes onshore and offshore. You will also ensure the delivery of load tests and visual inspections of lifting equipment and wire ropes. Your role involves engaging with clients to promote our new services, coordinating and supervising project implementation, and discussing test results with customers and inspection authorities. Your focus will be on continuously improving work methods in collaboration with the Rotterdam Solutions team, ensuring better quality, safety, and efficiency in operations.
You will be accountable for Sales and Account Management within the Solutions department, overseeing the preparation and execution of Service, Inspection, and Test work. Maintaining high-quality standards and safety during assignments is crucial, along with managing the department's turnover and costs. This is a newly created position that offers an opportunity to build and develop a strong team of Onshore & Offshore Engineers focused on reeving and testing crane cables while working closely with the current Onshore Engineers testing container and steel structures. To start with, the existing Solutions team comprises of four Engineers and the Manager Solutions, all supported by the expertise of the Rotterdam team (approx. 25 Engineers).
If you enjoy the maritime and offshore industry and collaborating with teams onboard ships, while handling stress and communicating across various organizational levels, then this is the job for you.
Working week
On an enjoyable workday, you visit a ship to assess an offshore crane for testing and calculate the offer. The next day, you prepare the equipment and assemble a team of Engineers and riggers to carry out the job.
On a less enjoyable workday, the ship you need to visit is delayed and will be mooring at a different port. As a result, you have to adjust the planning and coordinate with the team to minimize disruptions.
