Vacancy
As an Inside Sales Representative at Hendrik Veder Group, you are responsible for the accurate processing of customer orders and quotes. You primarily handle requests for steel cables and associated end connections. In this role, you ensure that each order, such as customizing steel cable for a tugboat, is precisely calculated and processed. You anticipate customer inquiries about specific products and brands and assemble combined orders that are sent to the Production Department. You also work closely with other departments, such as Production and Purchasing, to ensure that orders are processed efficiently and swiftly.
In this position, you will manage a customer base consisting mainly of offshore and maritime companies. You handle both routine and complex requests, aiming to secure orders in line with agreed sales targets. Your goal is to build strong relationships with these customers by providing expert advice and support for their specific needs. This is achieved through maintaining contact by phone and email, actively analyzing customer needs, and identifying potential new clients. After a few months, you will also have the opportunity to visit customers. In the long term, there are international opportunities available.
You will be part of the Sales team located in the heart of the Rotterdam harbor, providing an inspiring backdrop for your daily tasks. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to develop yourself, take on challenges, and achieve sales goals together with your colleagues. Working closely with your team members, you contribute to achieving collective success.
If you enjoy collaborating across departments and handling customer interactions, and thrive on managing high work volumes and transforming challenges into opportunities, then this job is for you.
Working week
On an enjoyable day, you accomplish a lot, ensuring all your customers are satisfied while enjoying the consistently positive atmosphere at work. You thrive on the productivity and the positive feedback from clients, which fuels your motivation throughout the day.
On a less enjoyable day, you encounter dissatisfied customers and a backlog of unresolved issues that persist until the end of the day. Despite these challenges, you diligently work to address and resolve these concerns, finding satisfaction in turning difficult situations around.
