Vacancy

Acquisition in response to this vacancy is not desired. We generally fill vacancies ourselves and only work with preferred suppliers in exceptional cases.

As an Account Manager Service at EuroSort, you are responsible for supporting customers in Europe who have questions about possibilities for improving and/or optimizing the sorting systems delivered by EuroSort. This mainly involves sorting solutions that are usually older than ten years and therefore outdated. You are also responsible for gathering innovative ideas from customers and act as a key innovation partner.

It is your task to actively approach customers with outdated sorting systems for so-called 'service projects'. These are projects that can consist of complete relocations, refurbishments or expansions of existing systems. You aim to advise the customer to modernize the sorting solution at acceptable costs, so that they can continue to use the service of EuroSort. You prepare the advice proposals well and make substantiated calculations with which healthy margins can be achieved.

Once a service project is sold, the project is handed over to the Service Project Manager. During the execution of a project, you have a coordinating role and keep in touch with the Service Project Manager, various operational departments, and the client to align matters. You also regularly visit customers regarding all service and support related services and products. In this way, you build customer relationships and offer service and support to customers to achieve optimal customer satisfaction.

In this new position, you will report to the Head of Sales and work closely with the Service Project team, which is still in development. Your main collaborator within this team will be the Service Project Manager. This team is a part of the Service and Support department, where you will interact frequently with colleagues from both this department and Sales. As it is a new role, you will have the opportunity to shape the position within certain limits according to your own insights.

If you enjoy advising clients and coming up with suitable solutions for various - sometimes complex - issues, and you find it a challenge to work independently in a technical environment that is in development, then this is a job for you.

Firsthand experience

There's a service project sold to a customer, but the customer wants to change something after putting the order in black and white. What do you do?

The Account Manager Service is the first point of contact for customers in service projects. So, when a customer wants to change something in the order, the customer will mention this to you first. Then, it's your task to determine if and how that change can be implemented. Together with the Service Project Manager, you discuss whether the schedule and/or tasks need to be adjusted and what that means for the various stakeholders involved in the project. You also determine whether these changes bring additional costs and how you will pass these on to the customer. You aim to come to new agreements with the Service Project Manager and the customer that everyone can agree on.

Sjoerd van Schie - Mechanical Installation Coordinator

Why did you decide to work for this company?
I already worked freelance for this company as an installation supervisor and was asked to do the coordination. It is a young dynamic company that is active worldwide: as a mechanic this gave me the opportunity to travel while working. In this way I gained some nice experiences and now I supervise the installations.

What was your previous job?
Freelance mechanic/assembly supervisor, elevator mechanic and animal caretaker.

What do you do in your spare time?
Fishing.

Wiebe de Jong - Manager TECH

Why did you decide to work for this company?
I started as an intern (Engineer) when the company only had a few employees (almost nineteen years ago). The type of company has always given me opportunities to develop and grow in the organization. It has never been boring as the company and product continues to evolve. The company is always open to new ideas.

What did you study?
Mechanical engineering.

What do you do in your spare time?
Hockey, Formula 1, enjoy drinks on a terrace and play sports.

Andre Meulman - PLC Software Engineer, Control department

Why did you decide to work for this company?
With a predilection for technology, I have always been looking for a working environment in which I have to deal with multiple techniques. At EuroSort, various systems come together in the control of the sorting installations. From controlling various sensors, actuators, motors and servo drives, to communication between different systems, such as servers, HMI and cameras.

What was your previous job?
PLC Software Engineer IA.

What do you do in your spare time?
In my spare time I enjoy doing water sports or hiking.

Marco Vonk - Purchaser

Why did you decide to work for this company?
I started in 2011 as an Engineer at EuroSort. In addition, I did project-related purchases. Due to the dynamic growth of EuroSort, I have gradually started to concentrate and professionalize myself more in the field of purchasing. Partly because the organization feels great, from which we get satisfaction together, this is a huge stimulus to develop myself further and to keep the enthusiasm high. This is an advantage of EuroSort for me!
