Vacancy
Acquisition based on this advertisement is not appreciated. We usually fill the vacancies ourselves and in exceptional cases we work with preferred suppliers.
As the Project Manager Continuous Improvement at EuroSort, you are responsible for the execution and monitoring of internal improvement projects. These improvement projects are, for example, about the implementation or expansion of a new internal programme or a new internal application. These projects can also be about process improvements or can take the form of a research project. The projects often transcend departments, which means that you have contact with many different parties inside and outside the organisation.
You supervise these projects in different phases, during which you continuously monitor the progress, budget and quality. New projects are first discussed with the management or the board of directors, who must approve the implementation. If a project is defined and approved, you start with the design phase. You analyse the current processes or working methods and make proposals to redesign or improve programmes or processes. In doing so, you frequently consult with colleagues involved and are in contact with external suppliers of programmes or applications.
After approval of your proposals, you ensure that the project is realised within the organisation. You ensure that all stakeholders are aware of the changes and have the right knowledge to work with. In all project phases, you ensure correct and timely reporting to the parties involved.
You are part of the Internal Projects team, together with another Project Manager and a Process Administrator. The team is led by the Programme Manager.
If you like to improve processes and systems, do research and also find it challenging to balance different interests within the organisation, then this is the job for you.
Working week
On an enjoyable working day, I deliver part of a project and it is well received. I also have a productive meeting with users from which I get a lot of valuable information for a new project.
On a less enjoyable working day, I have many consultation meetings, but few concrete actions or plans come out of these. This prevents me from making any direct progress on a project.
