What is required?
- Higher education or equivalent ability
- Demonstrable project management experience
- Mechanical and control engineering experience, preferably in logistics
- Enterprising attitude, attention to detail, ability to work well together, strong sense of responsibility
- A keen eye for commercial interests
- Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written
- Willingness to travel regularly
- A driver's license — category B — and your own means of transportation

As a Project Manager at EuroSort, you will be responsible for delivering sorter projects. You will be involved in a project from the moment the Sales Team makes the sale to the moment the project is handed over to the Service & Support Team. It is your job to manage all the disciplines required to successfully complete the project.
You will simultaneously work on several projects, which last an average of six to 12 months. These projects are at different stages and vary in terms of workload. The definition stage is particularly demanding. You will visit the customer several times to get to know them and align the definition and expectations. Once expectations are clear and all parties know what to do, you will mainly make adjustments if escalation is imminent — for example, if certain parts aren't available, you will be your project team's contact. Often, you'll also want to pay another visit during the sorter's construction and when the project is delivered. This also depends on the project's location: you work on projects across the globe.
While the project is carried out, you will keep in touch with the disciplines involved, such as the (Software) Engineering, Supply, Installation, and Commissioning Teams. You will ensure the project stays within the agreed time and budget constraints and quality frameworks, and you will regularly report on these matters. You'll have regular meetings with your project team, so you can maintain a grip on the situation.
You will be part of a different project team for each project. Additionally, you'll be on a team that works on internal improvement projects. These projects are distributed among project managers based on their workload. Currently, five project managers work at EuroSort.

Working week
It's a successful working day when you and your team head to Schiphol Airport in the morning, where you have breakfast together and discuss the meeting you've scheduled with a customer in Barcelona later today. After a productive day with the customer, you enjoy the evening together in Barcelona. The next day, you all fly back.”
It's a less pleasant working day when a customer shares a lot of comments, requiring adjustments to the specifications. As a result, you spend the day modifying documents, and you can't always find all the answers within the organization.
