Vacancy
Acquisition based on this advertisement is not appreciated. We usually fill the vacancies ourselves and in exceptional cases we work with preferred suppliers.
As a Mechanical Engineer at EuroSort, you are responsible for designing 3D models of (parts of) sorting machines and elaborating these models into detailed drawings and parts lists. After a customer agrees with a design based on a 2D layout drawing, you ensure this design is further detailed by means of a 3D layout drawing. In this way, you determine an efficient sequence for the assembly and production of the machine. For each part in the design, you then make 2D drawings used for the production of the parts.
You work together with two or three other Mechanical Engineers on a project simultaneously, which is led by a Project Coordinator. In a project, you actively contribute to the development of new project-specific solutions and ensure the correct information reaches the Purchasing and Work Preparation departments.
You are part of the Projects department, which consists of Project Coordinators and Engineers. The department is managed by the Manager Projects and you report to the Head of Engineering.
If you like to participate in designing all the different parts of a machine and find it challenging to occasionally have to make final changes in a short time, then this is a job for you.
Working week
Jordy Veenstra
On an enjoyable working day, I process the final internal feedback on a design, completing a large-scale project!
On a less enjoyable working day, many small changes need to be processed in other departments, which means I can't make as much progress on a design as I intended.
