Vacancy

As a R&D/Fabrication Testing Department Employee at EFP European Facade Products, you will be responsible for producing samples and testing elements of aluminum facade systems, including Doors, Windows, and Curtain Walling. You'll cut and process profiles in accordance with specifications to meet the requirements regarding water resistance and system design, among other things.
You will perform your tasks based on product drawings. It's important that you work accurately and apply the correct dimensions and finishes. You'll mainly produce samples that are required by our customers, but frequently you will produce testing elements for recently developed systems. In this position, you'll be encouraged to consider alternative solutions and improvements to achieve a better or simpler final product. You will work in the Test & training Department, where various machines and tools are available to process aluminium profiles.
You will be part of a small team within the Test & Training division & warehouse where we process orders, R&D/Fabrication employees, and a team leader being your supervisor. You'll work closely together, share knowledge, and help each other where necessary.

If you enjoy working with your hands and creating testing elements and samples based on a product drawing, and you find it challenging to tackle both repetitive and varied tasks, this is the right job for you

Working week

R&D/Fabrication Testing Department Employee

It's a nice working day when a good result is achieved for the testing element you created.

It's a less pleasant working day when you create 20 identical samples, but you'll feel contented afterward, which makes the process worth the effort.

Firsthand experience

You have to process 20 identical profiles for a series of samples, and you believe this process can be more efficient. What's your approach?

If you have to prepare 20 identical aluminum samples, you can significantly speed up the process by using a jig or a mold. For example, you can make an accurate (drilling) jig or mold that matches the required drillings. You can then fix this tool on each profile and drill the holes through the mold. This way, you'll make sure all drillings are made in the right places without measuring and marking things every time. This approach saves time, increases efficiency, and helps reduce the likelihood of errors, resulting in better product quality.

Growth

At EFP International, we mainly provide training on the job, and you mostly learn from well-versed co-workers —partly because you should discover and further expand the specific aspects of system development in practice.

Working at EFP European Facade Products

EFP European Facade Products was founded in 2004 and develops quality aluminum profile systems for the facade industry. Its customers are international window/door facade contractors that manufacture and install EFP profiles and components in order to create and install the correct end product. In addition to profiles, they also develop all other system components, gaskets/seals, accessories, fittings, and a like. EFP is in close contact with investors, project developers, architects, and contractors in order to assure providing the most suitable solutions for each market.

EFP's end product is the shell of a building, or, the exterior façade you can see. A crucial product requirement is climate control of the building, this includes heat & sound insulation, waterproofing and minimize the air ingress. Aesthetics, budget, production, and assembly efficiency are also important. They're mainly applied for the benefit of large office blocks/towers, hotels, but also for residential buildings. For all systems, test elements are in-house pre-made and tested on performance by independent national and international test-institutes.
