Human Resources Manager
Vacancy
As WE ARE EDN Host(ess) at DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station, you are responsible for welcoming guests to Eastwood Beer & Grill Amsterdam. After a warm welcome, you place guests, present the menu and set the tone for service and hospitality. You answer questions, have conversations and in these ways create fun and special moments for the guests of the restaurant. In addition, you coordinate bookings and reservations. When it is quiet, you will help with mice and place and debrassing and cleaning tables. You will work from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., but by mutual agreement this is variable and it is possible to split the shift with a colleague. You will be part of the Eastwood team. This team consists of a Restaurant and Bar Manager who takes care of all administrative matters and Supervisors who have responsibility during the shifts and take care of the schedules and orders. The Shiftleaders support the Supervisors and manage the Team Members on the floor.
If you love working in the hustle and bustle of a large hotel and find it challenging to keep an overview at busy times and make good table settings, then this is a job for you.
Working week
On a nice weekday, the restaurant is pretty full with individual reservations and groups. By tactically placing guests, you also create space for hotel guests without reservations who would like to come and eat.
On a day when things don't run smoothly, the flow of guests doesn't go smoothly and you have to say no a little more often to guests who haven't made reservations.
