As a Senior Packaging Technologist at Danone, you are responsible for realizing packaging innovation, renovation and productivity projects. You are part of a project team with people from different disciplines. Together with your project members, you divide and execute the responsibilities and tasks such as writing validation plans, desiging packaging or exploring new packaging technologies and suppliers. It depends on the project how much you will contribute: it is important that you can show entrepreneurship if needed. You work on projects with various subjects, but at the moment there is a big focus on innovation, sustainability and recycling. To realise packaging innovation and renovation, you foster collaborative internal and external partnerships to enable the global packaging team to identify, imagine, create, and validate packaging solutions.

You work with different project teams on multiple projects, so you are part of different teams. If you have bigger projects, you can divide subjects between you and other Packaging Technologists. The packaging innovations you work on, always concern the Specialized Nutrition business unit in Danone.

If you get excited leading the packaging transformation into the next frontier of technologies, then this is the job for you.

Working week

Marco Engels
Senior Packaging Technologist

On an enjoyable day I have different types of tasks. After a project meeting, I contact suppliers and work on solutions concerning packaging challenges. I like it when I experience that my contribution is valuable to others and to the project.

On a less enjoyable day I have to take a step back instead of a step forward. Something does not turn out the way I expected it to, so I have to present the current situation in a project meeting.
