What is required?
- Completed university Bachelor's or Master's degree
- At least 3 years of experience in project management of complex product development
- Experience with quality assurance of a project through a stage-gate or similar process
- Experience with Agile working methods is a plus
- Affinity with heat pump technology or similar products is a plus
- Ability to lead a team and maintain an overview of a project
- Good communication skills and able to communicate at various levels with stakeholders

Vacancy
As a Project Manager Product Development at BlueHeart Energy, you will be responsible for guiding the design and engineering process of the thermoacoustic core for our clients' new innovative heat pumps, from the initial sketch to the commissioning phase. You will lead the project team and manage the progress, based on a clear planning and specific project milestones. Within a project, you connect different disciplines and ensure everyone is aware of the progress and any challenges.
In addition to coordinating the work within a project, you oversee project progress, quality requirements, and the budget. You also actively maintain contact with both internal stakeholders and the end customer. You play a key role in identifying risks and defining appropriate solutions to prevent or resolve them. In this role, you are closely involved in resolving ambiguities and facilitating collaboration between the right people to make a project successful.
You will be part of the Engineering team, which includes several Mechanical / Project Engineers and a Mechanical Engineer / Lead Designer. As a new addition to the team, you will have the opportunity to shape and further develop this role.

Thermoacoustics is a disruptive approach to generate heat and cold, with potential to revolutionize the whole industry. Over the past seven years, BHE has developed a thermoacoustic engine to power heat pumps in residential buildings. This so called 'Blue Heart' of a heat pump is sold to manufacturers. In the coming years, the 'Blue Heart' will have to be further developed and optimized. Besides this, we will set up our production facility, strengthen the relationships with our customers (Manufacturers of heat pumps) and set up pilot projects in houses and monitor these.
