What is required?
- Completed university degree in Engineering or equivalent
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience
- Affinity with technology and innovation is an advantage
- Knowledge of and experience with decision-making processes within multinationals; experience with contract formation and closing deals
- Good communication and commercial skills
- Good command of the Dutch and English language, both verbally and in writing
- Active, persistent and strong technical-analytical skills

- 25% Maintaining and developing client relationships
- 20% Recruiting new clients and legally binding them (closing deals)

Vacancy
As a Key Accountmanager / Business Developer at BlueHeart Energy, you are responsible for recruiting new clients and strengthening existing client relationships. Your focus is on selling the thermo-acoustic core for heat pumps and air conditioning systems to large and medium-sized manufacturers (OEMs). For this role, you are familiar with decision-making processes within multinationals and know how to move from negotiation to the signing of contracts. You are also familiar with the heat pump market and developments. You have a commercial drive and a thorough knowledge of the product range, as well as the ability to think and act strategically.
In this role, traveling is a significant part of your job: you visit a client regularly, mainly within Europe. In addition, you represent BlueHeart Energy at international fairs and congresses, such as the European Heat Pump Association Conference in Brussels. These occasions are perfect for maintaining existing relationships and establishing new contacts. You also support various marketing activities, such as creating digital campaigns that help BlueHeart Energy stand out in the market. And help optimising sales presentations or marketing materials.
You are part of a growing Business Development team of four people, which will soon expand to six. In addition, you have a lot of contact and consultation with the Business Development Manager and the CEO to develop the business and expand the customer base. Together you aim to increase the impact of BlueHeart Energy's product on the heat pump market.

Working week
On an enjoyable workday, you have an intensive work session with a client in BlueHeart's lab, where you see the benefits of the thermo-acoustic unit in action. This brings you closer to a potential new collaboration with the client.
On a less enjoyable workday, you are busy drafting reports or having trouble reaching clients. You also need to convince an additional department before a major client formalizes the collaboration.

BlueHeart Energy was founded in 2016 to apply thermoacoustics as a technology in heat pumps. Thermoacoustics is a disruptive approach to generate heat and cold, with potential to revolutionize the whole industry. Over the past seven years, BHE has developed a thermoacoustic engine to power heat pumps in residential buildings. This so called 'Blue Heart' of a heat pump is sold to manufacturers. In the coming years, the 'Blue Heart' will have to be further developed and optimized. Besides this, we will set up our production facility, strengthen the relationships with our customers (Manufacturers of heat pumps) and set up pilot projects in houses and monitor these.
