As a Compliance Manager at BlueHeart Energy, you will ensure that the BlueHeart Energy heat pump complies with laws, regulations and quality requirements. Currently, the laboratory prototypes of the heat pump already meet the requirements of, among others, the Pressure Equipment Directive and inspection for commissioning by a Notified Body. Your job is to ensure that the applicable obligations are also met in the subsequent development phases of the heat pump, such as production, transport, installation and maintenance.
In this role, you carry out daily checks and periodic audits to verify compliance. You also ensure that the compliance roadmap is continuously updated. To do this, you liaise both internally and externally with stakeholders to discuss how the heat pump can meet the regulatory bodies requirements. If necessary, you develop new standards that align with the BlueHeart heat pump. Furthermore, you communicate to your team what is on the roadmap and work with them to clarify regulations and improve internal processes. Finally, you chair operational safety meetings.
As regulations relate to BlueHeart heat pump technology, it is important that you have this technical knowledge. It is also important that you can specify product and process requirements so that you can instruct the entire BlueHeart multifunctional team on which laws, regulations and quality requirements they have to take into account. You are therefore a central person within the organisation, interacting with both Engineers and Management.
If you enjoy working with diverse stakeholders and in a work environment that is rapidly evolving, and in doing so, you find it challenging to independently investigate how processes can fit both with laws and regulations and with the various processes within the company, then this is a job for you.
Working week
On an enjoyable day, you came to an agreement with an external party in line with the applicable laws and regulations. That energizes you!
On a less enjoyable day, you overlooked a detail in the laws and regulations, delaying the heat pump development process and incurring additional costs.

Working at BlueHeart Energy
BlueHeart Energy was founded in 2016 to apply thermoacoustics as a technology in heat pumps. Thermoacoustics is a disruptive approach to generate heat and cold, with potential to revolutionize the whole industry. Over the past seven years, BHE has developed a thermoacoustic engine to power heat pumps in residential buildings. This so called 'Blue Heart' of a heat pump is sold to manufacturers. In the coming years, the 'Blue Heart' will have to be further developed and optimized. Besides this, we will set up our production facility, strengthen the relationships with our customers (Manufacturers of heat pumps) and set up pilot projects in houses and monitor these.
